What becomes possible when we look up from the scale?
We begin to see more than weight. We see strength, adaptation, recovery, pain, capacity, and the conditions that shape what a body can do.
Beyond Weight is an educational and reflective work about what weight measures, what it misses, and what gets lost when one number is asked to explain the body.
It began as a project exploring the disconnect between movement and healthcare, then expanded into a broader examination of measurement, physiology, appearance, and the assumptions often made about bodies from the outside.
This is not a diet guide, a weight-loss program, or a rejection of measurement. It is an invitation to ask better questions about what we measure, what we protect, and how we understand the body in context.
Soft Launch Details
Beyond Weight launches publicly on Tuesday, July 28. Before then, a limited number of copies are available privately through this soft launch.
Printed copies will also be available in limited quantity in Dallas during The Ehlers-Danlos Society’s 2026 Global Learning Conference, where Beyond Weight will be part of Body in Context, my pop-up exhibit exploring the body through movement, physiology, writing, and visual culture.
Softcover Edition
Matte soft-touch cover, cream-colored pages, lyrical interior layout.
Part educational text, part art object, Beyond Weight is designed to be read thoughtfully, displayed, and returned to over time.
