Pain starts ‘From the Ground Up’

The body is all connected. Every step you take has a chain reaction, from the ground up your musculoskeletal system.

ankle—> knee—> hip —> low back (etc.) This is the body’s kinetic chain.

If you experience chronic ankle instability, your range of motion, proprioception, and range of strength will decrease. Reaction time slows down and increases your risk for falling.

‘From the Ground Up’ is a virtual exercise class targeting ankle strength and joint stability. These are exercises that might be glossed over in physical therapy, because health insurance limits your rehab time. In effort to maximize your rehab, a physical therapist might skip ahead to make your rehab feel more complete. The goal of this class is to improve both your gait and your ability to gain total body strength. Ankle stability will reduce joint pain and improve your quality of movement.
